Two portraits of mine juried into this national show. This is a detail from "My Maine Love Affair," of my mother. Her hairstyle suggests the time - the 1940's when she was a teenager. The title suggests the changes that took place in her life. She grew up in Flushing, New York but when she married, she later settled in Maine, which suited her quite well. Once acclimated, she never wanted to leave her adopted state and enjoyed a much more rural lifestyle.
